Patrick Bailly is from the south of France (Alès! The city of Maurice André). He carried out his musical studies at the IMFP (Musical Institute for Professional Training) in Nîmes conducted by trumpet player Michel Barro and followed training courses with Ivan Julien. He also attended Mr. Pichereau’s courses.
He was influenced by many trumpeters such as Miles, Dizzy, Clifford, Bill Chase, Maynard, Sandoval and many others … as well as groups like Tower of Power, Earth wind and Fire, Incognito, Chicago. After scouring the best orchestras and Big Band in his region, he set off for the capital in September 1986.
Since his arrival in Paris, he has played in many Big Band, and accompanied various artists like Archie Shepp, Paul ANKA, Ben Verren, Roy Bobby, Henry Salvador, René Coll, Michel Fugain, Michel JONAZ, Les Wailers (Jimmy Cliff ), Gérard Blanc, Dany Brillant, Garou, Herbert Leonard, Patrick Hernandez, Gerard Lenorman, Chico & les GYPSIES, Carlos, Jimmy OIHID, Sylvie Vartan, Dave, Fabienne Thibault, Patrick Sebastien, Michel Delpech, Jeanne Manson, TEEN Machine (DavidBowie ), Jean Pierre Mader, Richard Gotainer, Liane Foly, Thierry Pastor, Tony Carreira, Nicole Croisille, Roy Robby (Platters), Jimmy Oihid Tour, Johnny Simms, Cliff Richard, Murray HEAD etc…
He has also acted for numerous television programs such as: “La Fureur”, “Nulle Part Elsewhere”, “Vivement Dimanche”, “Hit Machine”, “Etoile Palace”, “Danser Now”, “les Hot d’or” , “La saga Bouglione”, “150 years of the Cirque d’Hiver de Paris”, “Music-hall & Cie”, “Sur un air de fête”, “The happy years” TF1 – France 2 – France 3 – Cana Plus – M6 – Ciné Cinéma – France 5 – MCM – RFO – BBC – RTL – TV5 -ZDF.
He has recorded many albums, including two albumssolo on the theme of musicals under the pseudonym “Pat Williams”.
Patrick is also an arranger for many orchestras and groups, he has composed pub music (RFO) and also documentary music.
He has played in the biggest orchestras and Big Band such as René Coll, Gilles Pellegrini, Gabriel Murat, Grégory Chaille Orchestra, les Méditerranéens, Eric Perrier, Big Band IMFP, Big Band Montpellier, Big Band Bertrand Chappellier, Big Band Christian Devilier, Big Band ORNICAR, Big Band LUMIERE, Big Band des CARAÏBES, Big Band de SBBM, Quintet Claude Cezaire, BERCOVITZ Music School.
From 2012 to today on tour with the Show CDN Tour.
1st trumpet of the “Sporting club de Monte – Carlo” orchestra in 2002.
From 1999 to 2012, lead trumpet of the Paris Cirque d’Hiver orchestra (14 musicians).
He also joined the large orchestra “René Coll” in 2003 which accompanies, among others, Patrick Sébastien.
Since 2016 he has been lead trumpet and conductor of the Paris on Tour Cirque d’Hiver tour.
Since 2018 Trumpet lead of the “Paris Circus Orchestra” which works all over the world (France, Spain, Germany, Peru)
