Lexie Signor is one of the most versatile trumpet players working today, equally at home in the concert hall, the jazz club, and the studio. She has toured with Adele, Keith Urban, Wayne Newton, and The DIVA Jazz Orchestra, and her session work spans Grammy-nominated artists across jazz, Latin jazz, gospel, and country.

A native of Northern Michigan, she trained at Interlochen Arts Academy and earned her doctorate at Indiana University, with minor areas in jazz studies and music theory. Her dissertation, The Practical Guide to Big Band Terminology and Symbols, is a standing reference for educators.

She is a frequent guest clinician on big band history and notation, and keeps a private studio of comeback players and young women entering the field. Her students have won seats at leading conservatories.
